Here is a photo taken sometime in the 1930's I would guess. Ed has the hat on second to the left. His brother Stanley is in the suspenders next to the door. Ed's sister Lucille is the girl on the left. Gladys Hayes (my mom) is the girl on the right. At this time the other two young men are unidentified.

My mother Gladys Hayes was a good friend of Ed's sister Lucille. The couple on the left are unidentified.
Here is Ed and friends at the train station again. I can't imagine climbing a train in a dress! Ed is on the far right and Gladys is next to Ed. I could guess that this might be taken in 1929 when dad was maybe 15. Is he wearing the same clothes as his 15th birthday pictures? I have found that while doing this project there is always a mystery to figure out! Ed Gilkey and Gladys Hayes later married on April 14,1945
